When asked about alleged Russian meddling in UK Brexit vote that took place in June 2016, he said: “As I say, there was abundant evidence of Russian interference in elections in Germany, Denmark, France, and America. As I say, there is no evidence of any successful Russian interference in the UK [elections],” Johnson said, adding that the two countries should "move on."

ロシア外務省のザハロワ報道官は２０日、日本政府は福島第１原子力発電所事故によって発生した液体放射性廃棄物の太平洋への放出を禁止すべきであると発表した。

ザハロワ氏は「マスコミで定期的に伝えられている福島第１原子力発電所の大事故によって発生した液体放射性廃棄物を海に大量に放出するという東京電力の方針に関する報道は懸念を呼んでいる。特に２０１７年７月の川村隆東京電力会長の発言や、最近インディペンデントならびにジャパン・ニューズをはじめとした複数の外国の新聞が伝えた記事によって懸念が生まれている」と指摘し、「日本政府は、放射性汚染水の海への放出を禁止し、福島での大事故によって発生した廃棄物を安全に処理する方法を見つけるべきだと考える。日本にそのような技術がないのであれば、日本は国際社会に支援を求めることができるはずだ」と強調した。
またザハロワ氏は、これが「数十万トンの放射性汚染水」に関するものであることに注目し、「このような大量の放出は、太平洋の環境や水産資源に大きな損害を与える恐れがあると考えている。これは日本の漁業関係者、そしておそらく沿岸地域の住民全体にも打撃を与えるだろう」と述べた。
ロシアはまた、他の国にも損害を与える可能性があると考えている。ザハロワ氏は「放射性汚染水の放出が、ロシアや地域の他の国々の漁業の利益に悪影響を与える恐れもある」と指摘した。
